Understanding
why disease
happens.
I work at the intersection of clinical medicine and genomics, using genetic data to uncover unexpected biology and ask better questions about human disease.

The question
What can genomic data tell us that conventional clinical thinking cannot?
My work starts with patients and unexpected findings, then moves into genomic data to investigate the biology underneath. I am particularly interested in discovering rare variation, connecting genotype to phenotype, and turning computational findings into biological questions that can actually be tested.
